This thesis describes the standards, types and use of the Electronic Flight Bag systems in aviation. It further discusses the design and implementation of an application based on the European regulations for General Aviation pilots for tablet devices with an Android operating system. The main features of the designed application are the flight manual, the flight publications and document browser and reader, user centered flight navigation, weight and balance calculation, and other interactive calculations.

The aim of this thesis is to create an Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) application for Android mobile devices. To accomplish this task, a research is done on the current state of regulations regarding EFBs and the state-of-the-art EFB applications found in the mobile marketplace. Based on this information, an EFB application focused on General Aviation pilots is designed and implemented. The final product contains features for Flight planning, custom aviation Maps, Logbook, Documents, Airport Catalog with global coverage and more. The built-in offline support ensures reliability in real-world conditions. Finally, the product attempts to innovate on existing EFB applications, by including features, such as Automated checklists and Augment Reality Preview.

Tato práce se zabývá systémy EFB, jejich standardy, typy a využitím v praxi. Popisuje návrh a implementaci aplikace pro Apple iPad, pomocí které je možné jej použít jako EFB pro české piloty všeobecného letectví. Reálné využití takové aplikace spočívá v usnadnění předletové přípravy a provedení letu nahrazením papírových dokumentů a implementací užitečných funkcí. Jedná se například o čtení leteckých předpisů a manuálů, získávání a zobrazení informací o počasí a o změnách v letovém provozu, interaktivní výpočty důležitých veličin nebo leteckou navigaci.
